The MuMAC of L'Aquila presents summer activities

For its fortieth anniversary, the L’Aquila Film Institute "La Lanterna Magica" offers a full calendar of events from July 7 dedicated to the MuMAC.

The MuMAC, Museum of Trades and Arts of the Cinema, is a magical and fascinating place for all those curious about the Seventh Art. It is additionally an extraordinary space of cultural life, hosting a permanent exhibit of heritage collected over time and preserved by the "Lanterna Magica," as well as an area reserved for the exhibition of private works.

The small projection room allows for the organization of events and meetings.

MuMAC opens to the public with two summer events:

  • Laurel and Hardy turn 100. 1921-2021, an exhibition of unique archival and audiovisual materials from around the world.
  • and with the Homage to Vittorio De Sica on the 120th anniversary of his birth. In fact, the Cineteca "Maria Pia Casilio" celebrates its first twenty years by screening some of the many masterpieces of the great Italian director kept in its historical archive.

In compliance with current legislation, admission to MuMAC is free, from Monday to Saturday, 4-8 p.m.

To participate in the film screenings, you must register with an email to lanterna.magica2009@gmail.com. The program and all the details are available on the institutional website www.istitutocinematografico.org
